Jillian Jones is a London-based artist who specializes in creating paintings of portraits and still life. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for capturing the essence of her subjects, Jillian brings her unique artistic vision to life on canvas.

Jillian Jones is a non-conventional free spirit based in Shooter’s Hill, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, in London. She appreciates the often unnoticed quiet elegance and emotion that surrounds her world. Jillian pours herself into her art and her work. Educating those who are often hindered by systematic structures, she helps to create a spark in young minds with special needs.

She began her journey in the arts with a guitar given to her by her father at a young age and went on to study art and education at Brighton Polytechnic in 1980. There she focused on sculpture and mixed media. Sketching, and painting in her spare time, she produced portraits of children to help subsidize her studies.

She now splits her time between teaching and creating art in her home studio. Her preferred mediums are soft pastels, pencil, and oils; often mixing the mediums in new and creative ways. Passionate about people, colour, and form; Jillian seeks out subjects that tell a story, which include still life paintings, and a return to her passion for portraits.
